If you're wondering who is it, it's Indrani Kopal. She's a full-time video journalist in Malaysiakini, who was here to enlighten us of the importance of using media in a more meaningful (and less censorship) way. In case you don't know who she is, you might recognise her from her work "She's my son" which is about transsexuals in Malaysia and have won award in Freedom Film Fest 2007.

Part 2:
It was a really interesting talk indeed, which I think Cnigel will be cursing me by now for not inviting him to come over if he read about this entry. But throughout the talk, I was actually quite scared that police will suddenly barge in and arrest me. T__T
But heck, throughout the 2 hours, there was not even a mosquito to bother us. Besides talking about her work in Malaysiakini, she also share with us what Malaysiakini's future plans, how politicians always kick them out from press conference, how bias the mainstream media is (like always) and et cetera.
The most interesting thing I have learnt throughout the talk was how she got the job. She's actually a lab assistant in LimKokWing University prior her current job and she self-taught all the video concepts and techniques (basically, what I learn in the stupid DMT class) during her free time at there. And despite the lack of degree and qualification in Mass Comm, she still ended up hired by Malaysiakini.
Man, if I know any sooner like that also can be a journalist, I would study an easier subject - say, Nuclear Engineering - and still become a journalist. XD
